    Question

  • Hi

I'm just learning to use VS 2017. I've entered this tutorial:

    https://www.tutorialspoint.com/windows10_development/windows10_development_xaml_c

I've run the code in Native Mode and get 2 error message in the output window relating to a thread being exited. Google offers no help:

    'UWPControlsDemo.exe' (Win32): Loaded 'C:\Users\Brian\Desktop\VS 2017\UWPControlsDemo\UWPControlsDemo\bin\x86\Debug\AppX\UWPControlsDemo.exe'. Symbols loaded.

The program '[22672] UWPControlsDemo.exe' has exited with code -1073741792 (0xc0000020).

The .XAML and .cs pages do not show any errors

Can anyone offer some thoughts on what could be wrong please?

  • Just ignore this. Silly me had the Solution Platform set as x32 when I'm on a x64 platform.

Think I'll go back to kindergarten to learn to use my eyes to read.

Left the question in place to both embarrass myself and help any other unfortunate soul like myself - could such exist I wonder.
