Can't add a reference RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Windows 8 Build 8175 and Visual Studio 11 Beta.

but when I try to add the reference to Microsoft.Live, I can't find it under Windows->Extension (as described here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/hh533834).

When I tried to add this reference manually (because I can find the Dlls under C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Live\v5.0\Metro XAML\References\Debug), I get a message saying "A reference to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Live\v5.0\Metro XAML\References\Debug\Neutral\Microsoft.Live.dll" could not added. The project targets '.NETCore' while the file reference targets '.NETFramework'. this is not a supported senario."

What am I doing wrong ?

By the way, when i was using Windows 8 developer preview and visual studio  developer preview, Everything is OK.

    Thanks.

  • The current public version of Live SDK is only supported to work with Windows 8 developer preview.

We will have a version of Live SDK tailored to the next version of public build of Windows 8 at release.

    Thanks,
