Attaching 8TB of Azure Disk storage and mount to a single directory in Azure Linux VM RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to create a azure disk of 8TB, and attach to MySQL instance (as data directory) on an Azure VM. From the Azure portal, I can create Azure disks of max size of 1TB only.

So, how can I create a data dir of more than 1TB for Azure MySQL instance (standard) on Azure VM ?

I think I cannot mount multiple Azure disks to one directory on linux, so even i create 8 Azure disks each of 1TB, I cannot mount all of these 8 Azure disks to one directory on Azure linux box.

My goal is to create persistent fast storage of more than 8TB for MySQL server running on Azure VM

Any suggestions / correction to my understanding is appreciated
