  • Hello

I was hoping someone could suggest a suitable machine learning algorithm to predict a top 3. Eg predicts the top 3 winners of a horse race based on their previous performance. I was looking at Naive Bayes but after further research, I think that Naive Bayes predicts a yes, no decision. Is this correct or have I understood it wrong?

  • Sort of.  A Bayesian algorithm can give you the probability of the horse being in the "winner" vs "non-winner" classes, and then I guess you could sort them by order of their probability.
