Cannot access addins from Apple or Android RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to login to portal.office.com from an Apple computer, I seem to get redirected to a different web site, where addins are not available.

    When I log in via an Android device, my addins are not available, even though I can see them in Outlook 2016 and OWA.

    When I connect my Android via OWA for Android, only one add-in is displayed.

    Please advise.--Ephraim

  • Hello,

    The manifest looks like:

      <FormSettings>
        <Form xsi:type="ItemRead">
          <DesktopSettings>
            <SourceLocation DefaultValue="https://testoutlookwebaddin.azurewebsites.net/MessageRead.html"/>
            <RequestedHeight>250</RequestedHeight>
          </DesktopSettings>
          <PhoneSettings>
            <SourceLocation DefaultValue="https://testoutlookwebaddin.azurewebsites.net/MessageRead.html"/>
          </PhoneSettings>
        </Form>
      </FormSettings>

    Besides, you may test the manifest in the following thread, the add-in could be successfully loaded in Outlook for iOS and OWA for iPhone.

  • Hello,

    Have you resolved the issues in the thread one and thread two ?We do appreciate if you could share your solution and mark it as answer to close that two threads. Thanks for your understanding.

    To access Office add-ins in Mobile, we need to specify PhoneSettings element in the manifest. If you are developing add-in commands , please visit Add support for add-in commands for Outlook Mobile

  • Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

    I cannot locate the format for the PhoneSettings element in the documentation.

    All it says is: <PhoneSettings>
       ...
    </PhoneSettings>
