ASP.NET Configuration Utility

    Question

  • I'm learning VS 2013 Pro and my reference talks about the ASP.NET Configuration Utility. It is accessed from the Project tab in VS. I do not have a reference to it. Where can I find the Configuratuion Utility?

  • Hi dlapedes,

    Thank you for your post.

For this question, please try the following solution:

1.On the console, copy and paste exactly what is written here:

    "C:\Program Files\IIS Express\iisexpress.exe" /path:c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\ASP.NETWebAdminFiles /vpath:"/asp.netwebadminfiles" /port:8089 /clr:4.0 /ntlm

2.Then open a browser window and write this on the address bar:

    http://localhost:8089/asp.netwebadminfiles/default.aspx?applicationPhysicalPath=[Exact_Project_Path]\&applicationUrl=/

Please don't  start console with administrator priviledges.

For more detailed information, please refer to

In addition, since Our forum is discussing about VS general question like how to set/configure Visual Studio and Visual Studio tools, as your question is about Asp.net,  I recommend you go toASP.net forum for dedicated support.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
