Why does ALL count unique rows? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. Why does ALL count unique rows and not all the rows? I figured the rows would be the same regardless of what column you used.

    All Brands:=COUNTROWS ( ALL ( Product[Brand] ) )

  • This is because you've asked for a count of the Brand column. Each column only stores a unique set of values. If you want a count of all rows in the product table just reference the table inside the all function.

    eg.

    All Products:=COUNTROWS ( ALL ( Product ) )
