Error in run DSS node for CTP July RRS feed

  • Question

  • Before I install the CTP July, I uninstalled CTP April and 1.5. However, it doesn't allow me to run any dss nodes neither simulation nor normal DSS host command

It just stop there and doing nothing.  Sometimes, it will throw an execption says

"DSS Node terminated unexpectedly, Please check that no other nodes are running using prots 50000 and 50001."

And I try port 60000 and 60001, it frozen again.

When it is frozen, I can browse http://machine:50000/directory and get the following error message:

I tried two different machines and have the same problems.

    Vista 32bits with SP1

    XP 32 bits with SP3

    Find the problem.

You have to completly uninstall CTP april and deleting everything in that directory or rename that directory.  Seems the uninstall program does not work quit well to clean everything up.

Once your have done that, reinstall CTP July. Everything back to normal.
