ADO.NET Query Notification Stored Procedures Keep building up in the database RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have been using ADO.NET Query Notification to cache look up values from the database. Over a week i have noticed that the database had a set of stored procedures that kept piling up. These had Names like SqlQueryNotificationStoredProcedure-f578edc1-247d-45f9-856d-0f2ca9e2102b. Now their numbers have crossed 1000. I have registered only 10 queries for Notification and have around 10 developers in my team. so if there is one notification stored procedure for every notification per user, it leads to 100 active notifications at most. when i checked the status of these stored procedures most of them have a very old mofication date.

Have I missed out something while deploying the notifications?

If this is a Notification problem do we have a patch/ hot fix for the same?
