How to add a Folder into a ClickOnce publication? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a noobie with ClickOnce, so just getting my feet wet.  One thing I can't seem to figure out is how (or if it's even possible!) to include a sub-directory folder into the ClickOnce deployment.

I'll try and explain in a bit more detail:  I have a regular WPF Application.  At the same location as the EXE that gets output from my application, there is a folder that the EXE looks to for supporting files.  These files aren't really part of the WPF app, but I have a 3rd party skinning engine included in my app that has a bunch of resource files inside this sub-directory.  I can't figure out how to get this sub-directory to be included in any manifest or "stuff" that gets deployed to the client.

Is that possible, or am I just missing something?

  • Hi

Add the folder to your project, along with the files that go in it. On each file, set the build action to "content" and copy-to-output-directory as "copy always". It will include the folder and files in your deployment.
