Include text, quick parts, reference RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

    I am having some troubles with Include text. Here is the deal:

    I have an excel Workbook that register the name of Word documents,

    These Word documents has texts that will be included as module on another word document (TESTE.docx). The modules also have some quick parts that link the name of a file (ex.:TESTE.docx will be saved as apple.docx) to insert a specific text in the module.

    The TESTE.docx have several modules in it, and inside each module there is a reference to the excel (made with DATABASE). Everytime that I change the name of the TESTE.docx to apple.docx (that is on the excel), some texts inside the modules change to the reference that is  "linked" to apple.docx on excel. The only problem that I am having is that on the module, I have paragraphs, and the paragraphs numbers are not on the old TESTE.docx (now apple.docx), and this is very important...

    Here is the code:
    {INCLUDETEXT "\\C:\\MODULOS\\ { DATABASE  \d "\\\\C:
    \\MODULOS\\Completo.xlsm" \c
    "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;User ID=Admin;Data
    Source=\\\\ C:\\MODULOS\\Completo.xlsm;Mode=Read;Extended
     Properties=\"HDR=NO;IMEX=1;\";Jet OLEDB:System
     database=\"\";Jet OLEDB:Registry Path=\"\";Jet
    OLEDB:Engine Type=37;Jet OLEDB:Database Locking
    Mode=0;Jet OLEDB:Global Partial Bulk Ops=2;Jet
    OLEDB:Global Bulk Transactions=1;Jet OLEDB:New Database
    Password=\"\";Jet OLEDB:Create System Database=False;Jet
    OLEDB:Encrypt Database=False;Jet OLEDB:Don't Copy Locale
    on Compact=False;Jet OLEDB:Compact Without Replica
    Repair=False;Jet OLEDB:SFP=False;Jet OLEDB:Support
    Complex Data=False;Jet OLEDB:Bypass UserInfo
    Validation=False" \s "SELECT `modulo 4` FROM `Plan2$`
    WHERE ((`Name` = { FILENAME \* MERGEFORMAT}'))"}.docx"\
    MERGEFORMAT }
    I know that it is kinda hard to understand, if you need any further information, please ask.

  • OK, I discovered it.

    If I put an AUTONUM on the begining of each docx that will be a module, the final document will be with the paragraphs.
