How to consume WSDL files on OS X with C# RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to somehow replicate WSDL import to any available C# IDE on OS X the way Visual Studio for Win users can:

    1. Create or open a project.
    2. Right-click project from solution explorer.
    3. Select "Add service refernce"
    4. Paste the address with WSDL you received.
    5. Click OK.

If no, is there another way to consume public webservice (WSDL)?

Do you mean you want “Add Service Reference” feature for other C# IDE? I think it depends on whether this IDE provide this feature.

For another way to consume publish WSDL, I would suggest you try Svcutil.exe command which is C# IDE independent.

    # ServiceModel Metadata Utility Tool (Svcutil.exe)

    Best Regards,
