Unexpected Spacebar Behavior in Outlook 2010 & 2013 RRS feed

  • We are seeing that in our Outlook add-ins if we open a window that hosts a WPF control, spacebar is being captured by the reading pane regardless of the focus on the add-in's window.

    To recreate:

    1. Download and build the simple test solution we created.
    2. Open outlook and enable Reading Pane from Ribbon | View | Reading Pane in an outlook inbox folder that already has emails.
    3. Click on the Comment Submission (Bug test) ribbon tab to reveal the "Submit Comment" button.
    4. Click on the body of the email in the reading pane ensuring the focus is
    5. Click on "Submit Comment".
    6. Type a sentence with spaces.
    7. Notice that reading pane uses the spacebar to scroll and there are no spaces are in your sentence.

    This issue is also present in Outlook 2013.

    We would appreciate any insight regarding this issue.
