Getting weird message after program workrf for years RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am selecting a field from a list box and using the field to open another form.  It worked for years under Access 2.0 but I am getting this error in Access 10 and I do not know what to do.

    My Code is Forms([frmTypInjry])  = Forms(lfrmSelectClssA]).[TextI]

I get a message that Microsoft can't fine the field '|' referred to in your expression.

Where is it getting the '|' from, no where to be found

  • This code is being executed in which form?

Can you give us a breakdown of the form names and control names involved please.

    Hi,

That's a very interesting sense of humor from Microsoft. :)     They never get to fix it after so many years.

Anyway, you could have rename the control? Sometimes this happens when rename a Textbox or it requires that the form must be open and running.

  • It may just be a typo in your post but the right side of the equal sign has a missing [
