XInput (XUSB) device specification RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working on an open source controller and documenting the process along the way.  I am now at the point where it would be much more convenient to be able to configure this device as an Xinput compatible device.  I think XUSB is the term used.  This would allow a greater amount of compatibility with games that support Xinput and Xbox style control schemes without extra manipulation or setup.  However, I have only found bits and pieces of information and most of it is gathered from the massive amount of information available for the PC side of xinput development.  Is there anyway to obtain the documentation on what is expected from the hardware side of things?

    Thank you,

  • For the good part of the last decade this must have been a thing..

Yet there's zero care for it. WDK docs mentions at most DirectInput and they don't seem to have been updated anymore.

I found this though.. Hoping it may slightly help.
