  • Hi Meghana,

    The ideal size for A4 = 8.3 in. X 11.7 in. (Portrait). Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_216#A_series

So, try to have your RDLC sized as 11.7 in. X 8.3 in.(Landscape) Secondly, try not to have blank spaces in RDLC. Touch the each of the 4 borders of RDLC with at least control.

Better way to see and manage the Size of RDLC File:
    1. Open RDLC File.
    2. Form the Menu Items, go as: Report > Report Properties. Go to Tab: Layout.
    http://sites.google.com/site/abylexsite/Home/dotnet/rdlc-modify-size

Please note: As you increase or decrease the other Properties like Margins or Spacings, accordingly your effective value of Report Size would vary.
So, adjust all these values accordingly to have 11.7 in. X 8.3 in. as your effective Report Size.

Also please note: If initially- your RDLC is of larger size than 11.7 in. X 8.3 in. and you have controls on the borders of the RDLC, decreasing the size from here would not affect the RDLC size. In that case, you also need to move the controls before hand.

Hope, your issue gets resolved soon.

  • 1. Have you used Page Breaks some where in the Report?
    2. What is the size of the Report - RDLC (Length X Width) and the size of your ReportViewer?
