Printer icon missing RRS feed

One of our clients has IE 11 on their PCs and do not get the printer icon when printing an SSRS report if they are not running in compatibility mode.  At our site, we have the same reports (we are a developer of their website) and using IE 11 also but we DO see the printer icon.  The only difference is they are running Server 2008R2 (IIS 7.5) and we are running 2012R2 on our server.  What can we do to get the printer icon to show?

p.s. Their browser settings are identical to ours and we use a URL to call up the report.

You might need them to install the latest version of the report viewer control.  It says it's for SQL Server 2012 but the system requirements say it works for 2008 as well.

And I don't know if this needs to be installed on the server or the workstations.  Not familiar with SSRS.

Yes, I tried that already and nothing changed, but I will try it again. Thanks.

Still no icon.  I had to install a CLR Types program and then the viewer as the server is 2008R2 but viewer is 2012.

Add a browswer file to your solution and copy paste the content from below link

Tried that but still no icon.  Does IIS need to be restarted or something?

Now we have a new problem. The printer icon (using compatibility mode) fails to print a landscape report when clicked.  It was not a problem before the latest report viewer was installed.  Can we go back to the 2008R2 report viewer?  If so, how?  Or is there another solution?  Thanks.

Actually certain reports do nothing when the print icon is clicked. It doesn't even pop-up the select printer dialog.

Getting the printer icon but when it is clicked, nothing happens.  It should be giving me a pop-up to select a printer.

    Hello dlchase,

    Please see: http://www.msigman.com/ssrs-print-icon-not-appearing-in-internet-explorer-11-not-able-to-print-reports-from-ie11/

Due to the new user agent string that IE 11 sends, SSRS no longer correctly identifies that browser as among the “whitelisted” browsers to enable the print icon/functionality when viewing SSRS reports. The print icon simply disappears. Enabling Compatibility View restores the print icon.

There is a patch included in the .NET 4.5.1 framework update available here that should resolve it: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40773

I tried the 4.51 patch but the problem remains.  Our website is using .Net 4.0

Also, this problem is occurring at a customer site that is running Server 2008R2.  It works great here with IE11 and only difference is we are running Server 2012.
