what will be with windows-mobile and windows-ce ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi

what will be with windows-mobile and windows-ce ?

i see many new terminals from motorola...datalogic...and more for the business sector

    that came with Windows-CE 6.0 and Windows-Mobile 6.5

but in Visual-Studio 2010 there isn't any support for this.

i don't see any business terminal that work with windows-phone-7.

is the windows-mobile and windows-ce is dead ? is this the time to start work with android ?

what microsoft plans to do ?

Correct. You need to use VS 2005, VS 2008, or eVC 4. And if you're working with an OEM
modified OS (anything other than Windows Mobile) you'll need an SDK from the OEM.

i don't see any business terminal that work with windows-phone-7.

I suppose that depends on what you mean by "business terminal".

Depends on your needs. Microsoft no longer supports retail versions of Windows Mobile, and
never supported retail versions of raw Windows CE. But it is still supporting industrial
    products based on them.

what microsoft plans to do ?

Not so clear to those of us on the outside.
