Maximum JScript script size RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm attempting to execute a fairly large script (629 lines) from a C++ program that is using the JScript COM object (using the IActiveScript interface and friends).  I'm seeing some strange behavior -- it seems that not all of my code is being executed.  I've determiined this by putting in calls to display message boxes at different points in the code.  The only explanation that comes to mind is that I might be exceeding a maximum JScript size.  Does anyone know whether there is a maximum JScript size and, if so, what it is?

This is happening under XP service pack 3.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  • There is no maximum JScript script size.  I've written and executed JSCript code that is over 30,000 lines long.  the problem is not with JScript, more likely you are overrunning some buffer in your C++ program.
