    Hi,


    I am new to ASP.net application.

    Please clarify some of the queries,

    1. what architecture need to follow?

    2. What are all the common functions need to write? like DBnull checking, conversion etc

    3. Coding standards?

    4. Error Logging

    please provide the sample application, that would be very helpful to me.

    3 tier is Simplest Arhitecture (As u will Gain exp u will Know New things)

    For a very simple application, or one with a lot of user interface, but not a lot of business logic, I'd suggest using web forms.  If your business logic becomes more complex and unit testing this becomes important to you, look at MVC.

    For coding standards, I recently read "Clean Code" by Robert C Martin.  I would recommend this and that you follow his suggestions.

    For error logging, you need to understand what you will realistically do with the information, how much data will be stored, if the logging will cause performance problems and select a technology accordingly. There are lots of ways you can do this (both MS and using 3rd party technologies), but I can't really suggest the best one unless you can say a little more about the application you are writing.
