Office 365 Domain already exists issue. RRS feed

  • Hello! Previously I had configured at azure an user with one of my GoDaddy domains, and a few days ago I pucharsed GoDaddy office 365 service, and I'm trying to set up a new account but I'm unable to do so because the domain is already taken.

    Yesterday I deleted the Azure AD user and I deleted all the resources/CDN related to that domain. But I'm still unable to configure the new email.

    How I can identify which is the root cause of the issue?

    Whoops! citylights.world has already been used to set up an Office 365 account at Microsoft®.

    Before you can create any new users here, you must remove citylights.world and any associated accounts from your previous Office 365 account.

    1.  Sign in to your Office 365 account on the Microsoft site.

    2. Go to your Admin section.

    3. Find the Users section, and edit or delete any users associated with citylights.world.

    4. Find the Domains section, and select citylights.world to remove.

    5. Come back here, and create your new Office 365 accounts!

    It might take some time after removing the domain before it's available here. Give it a few minutes before trying to create an account.
