Error with .net Core

    Question

  • After the recent update to RC2 I am no longer able to create .net core apps.  I am able to load previous apps created using .net core though.  I have uninstalled visual studio community 2015 and reinstalled with no luck. Screenshot below to show the issue.  Running dotnet restore does not fix the problem.  I get the following error message with this:

    Error loading hostpolicy 1.0.1-rc2-002339; interface mismatch between hostpolicy [32771] and hostfxr [120]
    Specifically, the structure of corehost_init_t has changed, do not know how to interpret it

    Any ideas?  Thanks....

  • Hi MrWisker,

    If possible, please remove the old .net Core version, and then install the single latest.net Core, check it again. Maybe the old version impacts the result.
