validation failed?

    Question

  • I uploaded an app to the store but the notice 'validation failed' appeared. When I uploaded it again everything seemed OK. This time the message was 'validation complete' and I was able to enter the details in the description tab. However, I cannot submit the app for approval because I am told I must remove the original upload first. I cannot find a way to do that. How do I continue? thanks.

Found the solution. An X appears at the end of the line saying  a package has been uploaded. It is actually an active button and it should be clearer for the user to understand its significance! Clicking that gives the option to remove the package. removing it allows the app to be submitted.

  • Hi McEzzz,

Thanks for the post. I am glad you were able to find how you can remove the app package by clicking the "X" to the right of the line. We appreciate your feedback about this button not being clear, as well. Feel free to reach out to Windows Store Developer Support should you have any other questions.

    Thanks again!
