Claims Authentiation - using an active WCF token service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

the requirement we have to allow users to access a sharepoint site and optionally login to the site. The idea is that when the user logs in we call a wcf service to validate the user and return a security token. We have claims authenticaiton working with a passive STS site but we would like to stay within the single site, call a service and add the returned token into SharePoint. We have experimented where an anonymous user identity has claims added to the claims principal but is this the way to do it - it must be better to somehow use the returned token and add it to SharePoint as a token that is also a persisted as a cookie. We are trying to reproduce the affect of returning to /_trust/default.aspx but from within the application.

    thanks in advance
