Can I reskin a .cs file in Blend? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an existing C# project that I would like to reskin/tweak etc in Blend. In Visual Studio I can open the MainAppForm.cs and make changes in the properties window etc. When I open it in Blend it builds just fine but I can figure out how I can edit this same .cs file in Blend.

    Thanks

  • The UI that you design in Blend defines a .xaml. You cannot edit your Winform in Blend. If your application logic and datamodel is well seperated from the UI then you can recreate the UI in Blend and hook up your code to it just like in VS.

In short Blend edits WPF (.NET 3.0 onwards) applications. In VS you have a WPF application template for such projects. They are not the same as Windows Forms Applications.
