Exact difference between Role links and Dynamic port??? RRS feed

    Can anyone differntiate  the Role links and Dynamic port???

  • Role links allow you to use the features of static ports in a dynamic way.  They are ideal for creating soluitons that will interact in a similar way with many different parties (often B2B).  I've never been a big fan of dynamic ports in BizTalk because they remove an important layer of visibility from the administrators.

    I will say this about the "exact difference":

    Dynamic port: If you update a dynamic port, you have to update the process that provides the configuration information.  It's "difficult" to manage all the subscribers...

    Role links: You may update a role links without impacting other subscribers.  All subscribers are independent.
