Is Onprem gatway on VM use in DFv1 and DFv2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have a gateway set up on a VM that is a gateway to a SQL server for a V1 Data Factory. Can I use the same VM for a gateway of a V2 data factory ? And have them working at the same time ?

    Thanks!

  • Gateway is now called self-hosted Integration Runtime with richer functionalities.

You can only install one instance of gateway or self-hosted IR on a single machine/VM.  Furthermore each self-hosted IR currently can only register with one data factory.  We are adding a new capability for a single self-hosted IR to be shared across multiple V2 data factories, but it won't support sharing scenario between a mix of V1 & V2 factories.
