HCI layer is not communicating with my driver. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are implementing a Bluetooth drive for our module, and ported necessary code for .inf file and driver. Now we are stuck at HCI layer communication. It's not able to communicate with my device. Please check the attachments.

Could you please anyone help here.

    Thanks,

    Raj.

  • are you writing a bluetooth miniport? if yes, the miniport owns communicating with the hardware itself. or are you asking why the bluetooth port driver (bthport) is not sending HCI commands to the miniport?

  • Hi Doran,

Yes, we are implementing the miniport driver for our Bluetooth hardware. Our firmware will understand only HCI commands.

Could you please help me in the following.

    1. Will HCI commands need to form in the driver(miniport) and send to firmware or HCI commands will come from the stack.

    2. Will native MSFT BT stack supports the HCI communication? if not how to communicate with the firmware.

    3. Can we implement both Wifi and Bluetooth in a single miniport driver.

    Thanks,

    Raj.
