software technology architect vs solution architect? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi ..

i want to be an architect. Now there is a bit confusion in mind .

i found two microsoft tracks for it.
    1. Solution architect
    2. technology architect.

Currenctly i am a software engineer and have some experience .net technologies.

i want to get in to it early. Could anyone elaborate in some detail?

i think technology architects are responsible for getting the familarity in detail with each new technology.

but solution architects are reponsible for providing solutions in terms of software.

could someone guide me with some comprehensive and understandable examples.

    which one is better .
As we know the ratio of change in technology is much higher.

one thing more, how should i step forward to architect platforn at this stage with minimum time and cost.
