Clarification on the meaning of inclusive for RectL in MS-EMF RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.

Bit of a nitpick, to be sure.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/openspecs/windows_protocols/ms-emf/e4a35c41-e8e3-43f9-bc07-a18e99bb866d

"Bounds (16 bytes): A RectL object ([MS-WMF] section 2.2.2.19) that specifies the rectangular inclusive-inclusive bounds in logical units of the smallest rectangle that can be drawn around the image stored in the metafile."

If Left is 0, and Right is 5, what is the width of the rectangle?

If I interpret the logical units mathematically, the answer is 5.

If I interpret the logical units as if they are pixels, the answer is 6.

  • Hello Trejkaz, it should be interpreted as in pixels.
