Win HCK Package file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good day,

Do I still have to convert my .hckx file using the signing tool.exe?

My certificate is on my pc. I used the option of not signing during creation.

So I would like to know if I can still sign it using my pc instead of the server

    Regards,

    Mao

  • I guess, Yes. You can sign the package with "certificate file" or "personal certificate store" using some .Nets library functions. Check out those functions.

My post has 2 parts to it. Are you attempting to answer  first of the second?

  • Hi,

If you have .hckx file which is not signed, and if you want to move this file to sign it on your pc which is having different Win OS installed than Win Server, then you can sign it with the .net functions, provided you have those libraries installed on your pc.

Why do you have to convert .hckx file? and into what?

    Regards,

    Nilesh.
