Flipview virtualization RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a FlipView with VirtualizingStackPanel as its ItemsPanel and about 5 items in its ItemsSource. I am using this Flipview to create an automatically transitioninig Live Tile effect. So, I end up using about 10-15 of these flipviews in my page. Each of these have a fixed height and width. Would performance be an issue as a result of using these multiple flipviews?

  • Hi,

It is difficult to say performance will be an issue when you using these mutiple filpviews. That is relative to the items of flipview. If the size of item is big in flipview, may be that can affect the performance. I recommend you should plan for performance in your entire app.
    Please refer to the link:

And you can use XAML UI Responsiveness tool to analyze such interaction-performance of your XAML-based Windows Store applications.

    Best Wishes!
