Question about how to print report via report viewer using vb code RRS feed

  • Question

  • In a Windows application using VS 2005, .net v 2.0 and Sql 2005. I have a report viewer control in a form and "hidden" (I set the control to the "back" of all the controls on the form). When user click on the "preview report" button on the form and it will set the report viewer control to the "front" of the all controls and pull in the embedded report. It worls fine. However I have a request that user may not want to preview the report and they want to just send the report straight to the default printer and I am thinking to create another button on the form and name it "print report" and it will not set the report viewer control to the front of all the controls and instead it will print it to the default printer via the report viewer control. How to code this button to achieve this? Thanks.
