[EWS]How can i change the subject when forwarding a mail RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI ,

    I am using EWS Managed API 1.1 to forward e-mail, seems like the two methods "CreateForward" and "Forward" can't change the subject but only the body of the mail.Is there any way that I can use to change the subject when forwarding a mail ?

    Thx

  • You can change it by sending a new EWS request once you have the new item id (as you probably already know).  But there doesn't seem to be any way that is similar to the NewBodyContent element.

  • I sent a message with a empty body, while when I tried to replace the empty with the target one, hit error"You must load or assign this property before you can read its value." I've created a propertyset and bind it to the two EmailMessage objects, I can see it via Console.WriteLine(message.Body). Don't know what's wrong...

       PropertySet my = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.FirstClassProperties);
       my.RequestedBodyType = BodyType.HTML;
       EmailMessage teMessage = EmailMessage.Bind(service, item.Id, my);
       EmailMessage message = EmailMessage.Bind(service, model.Id, my);
       message.Body = model.Body;
       //Console.WriteLine(modelMessage.Body);
       //Console.WriteLine(message.Body);

  • Is this based on an example you've seen somewhere?  I don't see the connection between this and your New Subject problem.  Or is this a different problem?
