Not able to run website RRS feed

I have installed Windows 7 (Starter) on my netbook. Running a website or silverlight solution in VWD 2008 and 2010 beta 2, IE shows the following message:

Internet Explorer can open the webpage.

Running with Firefox also doesn't display the webpage.

    Firefox shows also an error:

Connection to server has been reinitialised while loading the page.

I suppose it has something to do with Windows 7. Websites were running correctly in XP.

    Anyone an idea,

I dont think you can use IIS on win7 starter but I haven't heard anything about it not working with cassini.

Try replacing the "localhost" in your url with "192.168.0.1".

This will rule out an incorrect HOSTS file which hasn't mapped the word localhost to your ip.

Windows 7 Starter Edition is not Windows 7 and doesn't have IIS.  But you issue is most likey a firewall problem, not related to Windows specifically.
