Can someone with an international app explain the taxes? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey guys. I currently only have my App listed for sale in the US because I'm just unsure about the tax stuff. Can someone that is already selling enlighten me on the basics of it? What does Microsoft take care of, and what am I responsible for? Would it create a nightmare come April when I go to file taxes?

  • The W-9 you fill out will be what you use to report your taxes to the IRS. You do not need to be concerned with taxes in other countries unless you have a presence in that country while you are selling the app in that country.
