  • Hey Eric W P,

Let's try refreshing your PC to see if that prevents this problem from occurring when you install the updates that you mentioned above. Here is what will happen you when you refresh your PC:

    • Your files and personalization settings won't change.
    • Your PC settings will be restored to their defaults.
    • Apps from Windows Store will be kept. All other apps will be removed.

Follow the steps below to restore your PC:

    • Enter the Start screen
    • Click Control Panel
    • Click General on the left column
    • Under the Refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Get started

Then follow the instructions that will be displayed on the screen.

Once that process has finished, try using Windows Update to install the updates that will be available.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

  • I suggest you try installing the Windows Updates one at at time to see if you can find the Update that might be causing a problem with your system.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

  • I have the same problem. And installing the updates individually (6 of them now) does not solve the issue. Also the other updates fail to install

     kb2616150, kb 2616619, kb2617028, kb2617868 and kb2618032.
