    Web service is the backend core services, just need to ask most of the website/web application nowaday is it would need the web service for core processing ?

    If the normal website like ebay.com, is it involving the web services at it's core processing ?

    If I wanna build the normal website, just normal sql query selecting, editing, delete, insert function ? Do I need to involved web service ?

    Please Suggest to me ? thanks.

    For it to be trully scalable then yes you would need to set up web services, however; you should check out web.api or mvc controllers.  Also you need to think about how you will be accessing the SQL CRUD events. If you plan on using alot of ajax or similiar technology then that might lend itself to web services or api's.
