Publishing to Azure, then re-seeding the sample data-- good ways? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Are there any tutorials for storing data in various SQL scripts/ Excel tables and using it to repopulate a newly-published lightswitch application?  The idea in this case is to allow a customer or prospect to try out a LS HTML5 app in the cloud, and after X amount of time clear out their modifications and put a fresh version of the app online.

  • Hi jim,

According to your description above, you want to clear out modifications after a amount of time.

For this issue, I think this issue is related to your project design.

If you just want to reset your configuration file after amount of time, you could export your configuration file before user uses it, and then import it after you use it again.

In other situation, it depends on how you design your application, such as there are ten users in your app, and you add other ten users after your modification, you just need use different status to distinguish them, then it can clear out your modification after a amount of time.

If you have any concern, please let me know.

    hope it helps.
