Adding an item to an existing group in the Solution Explorer Context Menu RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have no problems adding Menu Items to the Solution Explorer context menu - what I am now struggling with, is how to work out what the group IDs are for the existing groups in the context menu.
Currently I have a menu item that has its own NEW group - meaning that it visually separated from the other system menu items.
I want my menu item to be in the SAME group as the "Open Folder in Windows Explorer" group... how do I discover that Groups ID so I can use it for my new Menu Item?

    Thank you in advance...

or alternatively, you can open up the two *.h files specified at the beginning of your vsct file. sometimes you can guess the name

or alteratively again, you can download Visual Studio Command Table Power Toy which will show you detailed info about every command in VS
