Microsoft presenter 8000 not working (on win 2008) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
in short: my mouse isn't working (through bluetooth).
I have a dell latitude D820 (with integrated Dell Bluetooth module 350)

It worked all fine on windows XP (sp2)

On the download site of microsoft they say you have to download a kb first before you intall the driver/software.

When i tried to install the kb i got a messagebox with: "your OS is older then Vista" or OS not supported...
I found a site which explained how to expand an msu and still install the content.

After the hard installation of the kb, i installed the driver/software with no problem.

I restarted computer, added my mouse but it keeps asking for new drivers...

After some time I installed "Toshiba Bluetooth Stack" for connecting bluetooth devices. This was working good. My mouse works but not through the drivers/software of Microsoft.
    But this wasn't it...
You can use the bluetooth stack for some time, then they give a warning that the evaluation is expired. --> Bluetooth stack doesn't work anymore --> Mouse disconnected (the cause of the expiration is the hardware. If the hardware is by another Company then Toshiba, they make it expire).

    What can i do now?

I think it's ridicuous that Microsoft's own mice aren't working on their own OS...

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
