Expression Blend 2 won't start RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've recently installed Expression Blend 2 from the MSDN Sep. 2008 developer tools disk.

When trying to run the application I get the splash screen, but that's it, it stops and just sits there, and I have to press Alt+F4 or kill the process to shut it down.

I have installed SP1 for Expression Blend 2.

I have .NET Framework version 3.5 SP1 installed.

    System specs:
    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    Professional
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
    Core Processor 6000+
    3.01 GHz, 2 GB RAM

I've also tried running Blend.exe through GDB, which dumped alot of messages similar to:

Error while reading shared library symbols:
"C:\WINDOWS\assembly\NativeImages_v2.0.50727_32\System.Core\6c69930d05c557da70144bcc0add7065\System.Core.ni.dll": can't read symbols: File format not recognized.

    If that's relevant.

    Thanks in advance.
