  • Hi Michael,

The Acer w510 is a Windows 8 device, not a Windows Phone 8 device.

You can find the requirements for Visual Studio Express at http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/visual-studio-express-for-windows-8#product-express-windows .

I suspect the 64GB model will work fine but the 32GB model will be tight (I didn't have enough room to install VS on my W500). I don't believe the Atom supports SLAT so you won't be able to run hyper-V or the Windows Phone emulator.

  • i was reading this from the link rob

    Develop on a “Device”

It doesn’t matter if you have a tablet or not, Visual Studio includes the tools to experience your app on one. Choose to deploy to your local machine for a chrome-less experience or to the Simulator to test portable functionality. Or remote debug applications on a tablet for the physical experience.

so it can be done ,, thanks,, you are the man

then the plan is this ,,

i better go and buy one.. thank rob
