Visual Studio 2012 install issue

Question

Set up a new hyper-v VM with Window Server 2012 as the OS.  Then installed SQL 2012, then SharePoint 2ted object013 preview and then Office 2013 Preview.  When I tried to install Visual Studio 2012 got an error saying it could not find the C++ libraries.  Here is the error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ - 2012 x64 minimum runtime - 11.0.507 caanot find the requested object

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Chuck,

Please use the collect.exe  tool to collect the installation logs and upload the vslogs.cab file the %temp% folder to the SkyDrive then send me the link, I will take a look at it for you.

Exactly this solved my problem too in late days,try it out if this doesn't work then i got different workaround.

Hi Chuck,

From the event logs you sent to me, I find the following installation error messages:

[1F64:1FC4][2012-09-12T08:02:02]: Error 0x80092009: Failed to get authenticode certificate embedded in: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\.unverified\vs_preclean_vs
[1F64:1FC4][2012-09-12T08:02:02]: Error 0x80092009: Failed to verify signature of payload: vs_preclean_vs
[1F64:1FC4][2012-09-12T08:02:02]: Failed to verify payload: vs_preclean_vs at path: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\.unverified\vs_preclean_vs, error: 0x80092009. Deleting file.
[1F64:1FC4][2012-09-12T08:02:02]: Error 0x80092009: Failed to cache payload: vs_preclean_vs

To deal with the the error, please double check the following items:

1). Make sure your VS2012 Premium installer is not corrupted, you can download one fresh one from the Microsoft official site here: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/visual-studio-premium-2012 
2). The user account you are using to install VS2012 Premium should be one of the Administrators group.
3). The user account should have full access to the C:\ProgramData\Package Cache folder.

I am facing the same issue. Analyzed LogFile several times but no luck.

personally I get this problem too, and my ISO file was corrupted..

I Used md5summer to check the SHA1 key and after another download its worked
