We are on 64-bit Windows 7 machine.  Brand new since April I think.  This just started happening.  Boss keeps bugging me about it, but I don't know what to do.  I am not Nick Burns!

  • You have a malfunctioning driver on the system.  The problem is that this is a common failure code so a lot of things generate it.  Take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff560244(v=vs.85).aspx for a description of the code.

For anyone to diagnose this you wil need to get a crash dump from the bosses system (preferably at least as a "Kernel Memory Dump" and then run Windbg against it.  If you can do this, then issue a !analyze -v and look at the output.  If the driver that is failing is not obvious, you should post the output here.
