If it's only a warning, you can running your project normally, don't bother with it.

Please close your VS, then open your project profile, delete the bin and obj folder, then open this project, rebuild it.

Try to update the nuget package . And rebuild it again.

I did all that. This is one of the errors I get now:

Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State Warning Mono.Cecil.Cil.SymbolsNotMatchingException: Symbols were found but are not matching the assembly at Mono.Cecil.ModuleDefinition.ReadSymbols(ISymbolReader reader, Boolean throwIfSymbolsAreNotMaching) at Mono.Cecil.ModuleReader.ReadSymbols(ModuleDefinition module, ReaderParameters parameters) at Mono.Cecil.ModuleReader.CreateModule(Image image, ReaderParameters parameters) at Mono.Cecil.ModuleDefinition.ReadModule(Disposable`1 stream, String fileName, ReaderParameters parameters) at Mono.Cecil.ModuleDefinition.ReadModule(String fileName, ReaderParameters parameters) at Mono.Cecil.AssemblyDefinition.ReadAssembly(String fileName, ReaderParameters parameters) at Java.Interop.Tools.Cecil.DirectoryAssemblyResolver.ReadAssembly(String file) XRead C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\MSBuild\Xamarin\Android\Xamarin.Android.Common.targets 2152

I see this is not new:
