Magic shading values that mean ignore? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all;

    Take a look at Cell Shading.docx. It has cell props of:

    <w:tcPr>
    <w:tcW w:w="4675" w:type="dxa"/>
    <w:shd w:val="clear" w:color="auto" w:fill="auto"/>
    </w:tcPr>

    But Word does not render any shading there (the page shading is rendered). So my questions are:

    1. Are there some magic settings that mean ignore?
    2. Do these mean ignore for all shading or just some (like cells)?
    3. Are there magic settings that mean clear? (i.e. don't render the page shading for that cell)
    4. Any other weirdness around shading?

    thanks - dave

  • Hi Tarun;

    This had all seemed so familiar to me but I couldn't find that old question. Thank you for tracking it down.
