Cannot run library tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed Visual Studio Professional 2015. I cannot run the library tool from the command window in Visual Studio. Do I need to install a tool or option. It simply says, "Command "lib" is not valid." Thank You.

  • I think that instead of Command Window (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/c785s0kz.aspx) you should use the Developer Command Prompt: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229859(v=vs.110).aspx.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

    >>I cannot run the library tool from the command window in Visual Studio.

Did you mean you can't run the library via the Develop Command Prompt for VS2015?

Could you please when did you get this error message and what's your project type? And if possible, please provide us the detailed steps to reproduce your issue. Then we could better troubleshoot your problem.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Lake Xiao
