Convert .NET 2.0 Assembly to .NET 3.5 Compact Framework Assembly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Is there a way to convert an assembly written in .NET 2.0 and convert it to .NET 3.5 Compact Framework? The assembly doesn't use any platform dependent code, and is mostly a collection of classes and enums.

    Thanks!

  • No, there’s no way to do that. Assembly created for NETCF V2 would run as is under NETCF V3.5. Desktop assemblies cannot be used on any version of NETCF. You have to recompile sources against NETCF to use them.
