  • Hi Feras,

Your requirements is not very clear, at least we would need more context.

When you create a project in Project Server, assuming you enabled the right configuration, a project site will be created as well as a project plan. The site will be created based on a template which already contains tasks/issues/deliverables lists.

If you didn't use it or changed it, then you have to take it back for the new projects. For the existing projects, you have to do it manually.

For querying, you also have to be more specific. You can use OLAP cubes or Reporting DB with Excel Services, SSRS...

    Hope this helps,

  • For part 2 of your answer, you can use SSRS report to query across all the project sites, provided the list name is the same on all sites. You will need to utilize the ProjectworkspaceInternalHRef as part of the syntax to point to the list.

Here are some steps on building the report

    1. Create a Data Source1 to
           connect to PWA Database
    2. Create a Dataset1 to lookup
           the ProjectUID, Projectname
    3. Create Parameter1 for
ProjectUID and dataset1 for the Available values
    4. Create a Dataset2 to Lookup
           the ProjectWorkspaceInternalHRef, include ProjectUID
    5. Create a Parameter2 for
ProjectWorkspaceInternalHRef and use dataset2 for the Available value

      1. Have it filter
              based on Parameter1
      2. Hide it
    6. Create a DataSource2 pointing
to any Project site (test site)
    7. Create a Dataset3 using
DataSource2 and select the list you want to report on
    8. To Test Create a Table using
the dataset3 and run the report

      1. You should see
              values from the list
      2. Note: If a site does not
have the list, you will get an error but can continue

    9. Now the magic source
    10. Create DataSource3
      1. Connection type =
              SharePoint List
      2. Connection String is the
              name of Parameter2

    11. Edit Dataset3 and change the
           Data source to DataSource3

      1. You may get a
              message .. Continue

    12. Run the report .. Voila
